An in-depth portrait of the world-famous homeopath Rajan Sankaran: In this interview with Heidi Brand, the pioneer of homeopathy describes his background and the development of his homeopathic approach – from classical
repertorisation via essences to the ideas of delusion and sensation, and how he nowadays successfully combines these methods with synergy.

He first explains what is meant by the “other song“, which is found in every person. He describes the characteristics of the three remedy kingdoms and how he proceeds during casetaking.

Then he comes to his paramount interest, the concept of synergy in homeopathy.

He explains how, as the only son of one of the great Indian homeopaths, he was given cases by his father to repertorise. Based on his own career, he explains how important it is to know the repertory and the materia medica, and to have studied the classical texts. This is the foundation that has made it possible to reliably develop contemporary homeopathy. Otherwise it is impossible to make well-founded prescriptions and confidently achieve healing, as practised by the old masters and as he saw with his own father. Synergy in homeopathic practice means that the left and right sides of the brain can work together in harmony. Information can be gathered and used from many different sources so that prescriptions are made with greater confidence.

Almost in passing, Sankaran answers the question of how the position of the observing, non-judgemental witness also transforms, expands and frees the homeopath.
